WANT AN HONEST TESTIMONIAL?
Great book, would highly recommend it.
This book was a very easy read but none the less very interesting. It keeps the reader on his/her toes. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
This true life story will make you cry and yes, sometimes maybe have a laugh or two. The author tells her life story and you’ll feel the emotion as you read the words on each page. The story shows the determination of a person who would not give up. I for one say congratulations Irene. One of my favorite lines from the story. “When you have lost it all, laugh. Don not be afraid anymore. Once you have lost it all, there is nothing more to be afraid of.” Another of my favorite lines from the story. “If you want a job you will find a way; if you don’t, you will find an excuse.” I can remember peeling potatoes at 12 years old. One day my boss wanted to buy an electric potato peeler to save money. What he did not realize was that the electric peeler could not see. We had a race to see who could do a better job. It was no contest. I won. He put the machine in the closet. A machine will never outdo a human. When it comes to thinking ability. Reading about the adventures of Irene Inker was a real eye opener. How some people can treat others so terrible is a crime. Yes, it does occur here in America. I know because I could relate to some of the stories that Irene had to show to her readers. One of the best ways to share that is through the printed word. Irene, thank you for writing your book. Know that it is an encouragement to others to read what you have written. The story is well written and it was my very great pleasure to read it. I rated this story a solid 5 stars. I would love to read more works by this very talented author.
Just got this book as Kindle version. Was very intrigued by short synopsis on Amazon. I am always trying to find a good book about life in America and American dream. This one is by far the absolute winner!!! I just gulped it down, could not stop reading. it is written with such a sense of reality, I almost felt that all these events are happening with me. So much humor, sarcasm about the main character and our society; amazing stories! I would not be surprised if this one will make a major motion picture. High five to the author; she reflected on our daily life, corporate world, society issues like I never read before: openly praising and criticizing. Highly recommend to read.
This is a wonderful autobiography that I recommend highly. The author describes her humble beginnings in Russia, and ends in New York City. It's a drama, comedy and romance all in one book. Her life is so interesting, you'll have trouble putting the book down. You'll be rooting for her the whole way through. I highly recommend purchasing this book, you won't be disappointed!
A socially relevant read! The author presents the reader a fictional story that reverberates real life ups and downs of an individual born to a lacking social disposition. Irene, the principle character, journeys to overcome her unique trials and tribulations and improve her lot in life. Will she succeed? The author, Irene Inker, presents a wonderful story. Furthermore, the characters are complex and intriguing, the plot and subplots are well structured, the grammar is appropriate, and the overall quality of the writing is great.
